F9 for rust on metal siding

I’ve used F9 on concrete many times, is very effective. I went to Ranenstein’s site and says is suitable for non porous surfaces. Has anyone used it on metal sided buildings? Was it effective, what was your dwell time, did it discolor the metal? The one caution I saw was do not put on glass TIA

I’ve used it on metal ac grills on outside of hotel rooms. but ran out. i just mixed up some oxalic and it did the trick as well.
