Equipment Frames/Mounts

As I prepare to build out my new open trailer (get it in about 1 week) I’m mentally assembling everything in my head.

For space allocation and good layout, I’m planning to build some metal frames/mounts for pressure washer(s), air compressor, etc. to get them up off the bed. I am looking for some pictures, video links, advice, etc. I can use for reference. I’ll probably also add a ladder rack and hang my hose reels upside down from above - I think I recently saw a video from @Racer but now I can’t find it?). I want to build strong frames that can handle heavy equipment, vibration, etc.

I’m a novice welder but I have a friend who’s willing to give me a few lessons and get me started.

I’ve read many, many threads here and seen a couple of examples but of course, now that I need them, I can’t find them. Any tips, tricks or advice welcome.

Here’s one I built for an 8 gpm gear drive. No belt guard needed. The big one on my trailer comes from MVP Services in North Carolina which @Innocentbystander turned me on to and all his skids are built this way.

And vibration damper bolts over 3/8” will be more than sufficient. I like to think my trailer is on two big vibration dampers though.

Just click the blue ‘Trailer Builds’ category button, it’ll direct you to it, you can also search key words with images only

But a few things I’ll mention is:
-If possible gas tanks on the same side as your truck’s
-stay under 7 feet if you think you may do parking garages
-Will you have one or two machines? If one, plan where you could add a second in the future
-keep things curbside that need reaching often
-be conscious about weight distribution
-Will you have signs, where?
-will you have a hot box?
-keep it as light as possible

Just some thoughts
