Ok, I wouldn’t post here unless I was truly stumped. I’m there. I have a customer that wants this white removed. My first instinct was that it was efflorescence. I applied F9 Efflo via pump up at various concentrations, it bubbled, I reapplied, bubbled, etc. Once that stopped, I rinsed and the brick is still white. So I tired OneRestore; at 50/50 and straight via pump up. A little bubbling, but same outcome. Then after reading here for a bit, I tried NMD-80 at 4:1 via x-jet with no tip. Kept wet, applied several times, dwelled for 15-20 minutes and nothing. Brick is still white. The photos are after all of that. I am not sure what to do now. Customer is super relaxed about it. I want to figure this out for future clients. Asking for help. Thank you in advance.

Here is a link to find your issue with what to do. Calcite, efflorescence, white scum.

Once it’s fully dry, try gently scraping the white residue with a metal tool. If it doesn’t come off, it’s likely that a previous treatment (probably a strong muriatic acid wash) etched or chemically altered the brick, resulting in a permanent discoloration or stain.

Try using the regular F9.. I’ve had it work when the efflo didn’t do squat.. And sometimes absolutely nothing works

Hey thanks guys. I downloaded the EcoChem guide so Ill dive into that. Ill also try scrapping it and, @Racer youre referring to the F9 Barc correct?
Ordered the white scum chem. I’ll advise when it gets here and I give it a try. Thank you gentlemen.
