New business I started, called Joe W insurance for quote, said NY and NJ is in top 3 most expensive states for coverage. I’m only doing residential and need under 5k of equip coverage. For the min policy of 1m coverage is quoted between $2,200 to 2,500. I think that seems high from what I read on here.
If any of you guys can refer me to another company with same kind of coverage it will be appreciated!!
Check with a local carrier that brokers Erie insurance. I’d steer clear of the carrier you mentioned.
We use Erie insurance. Very affordable and great company to work with. We pay around $1400 a year for a million coverage and $12,000 equipment.
No luck just called they dont offer it in my area…!

Find a local broker that wants to gain your business they will work to find a solution for you. Also make sure they aren’t trying to cover it under pressure washing. They won’t cover it, but they will cover power washing.

@yanks92, I take it you’re referring to Hiscox? That’s disappointing. I was thinking of calling them to see if they could cover snow removal in addition to our exterior cleaning services. JDW won’t touch snow removal liability with a ten foot pole.
That was also my reaction when my agent told me that. He didn’t really give me an answer as to why but said he had been turned down by every company when he tried pressure washing, but when he changed it to power washing they gave him a price.
