Dull metal roof

What is something I can do to bring back the shiny apearance on an unpainted metal roof? Would brushing it like a vehicle and waxing help?

It’s oxidation. A soft brush and something like F-13 will help remove it but it’s darn near impossible to get it to come out even.

I was just thinking about this same issue last night. With a PAINTED metal roof, would some kind of liquid spray on car wax be useful to shine it up after a cleaning? It would be a lot of work, but could be a really high dollar upsell perhaps. Or is that just crazy?

Car wash with carnuba wax and a lot of scrubbing did the trick.

Not bad! How long did it take you?

It was a small house and walkable so it was only 1 1/2 hrs. I dont think people would pay what I would charge on a two or three story non walkable roof.

Didn’t see a before, but the after looks nice and shiny!

It was very oxidized from being a block off the ocean. Salt air has been eatting at it.
