Dryvit Soft Wash Advice

Hi everyone,

I’ve been house washing and gutter cleaning a few years now and I’ve typically turned down Dryvit and stucco jobs; however, I’d like to grow my skillset and would like feedback on this potential job (I haven’t sent a quote yet).

The customer wants the black mold/growth cleaned off one side of his house. My plan is to use my x-jet to put 3-4% SH plus Elemonator on the entire wall, keep the windows wet, then rinse. A spot treatment seems near impossible and doing the whole wall will likely make it lighter than the rest of the house. I’m also concerned about killing plants with such a high

strength SH and its a pretty big wall. I’d like to pass on the job, but I also need to build my confidence and skillset. Do you think my plan will be effective or am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance for advice!

That doesn’t look too bad at all. You’re on the right track but I have never used an xjet so I have no idea what kind of pressure they put out but if that’s dryvit then you’ll want as low pressure as possible.

Xjet will work, started out using one, should be about the right strength. Keep those plants and windows rinsed!

Thanks for the quick responses! I think I’ll give him a call to see how many plants are below the area then send him a quote. If I get the job I’ll be sure to share the results. In the meantime if anyone has any other tips I’d be happy to take them! Thanks again guys!

Xjet is perfect tool for the job.

I got the job and it turned out really well using the x-jet; it came off much easier than I expected! I appreciate the advice from everyone here!
