Anyone know if it’s possible to use Glass Gleam 3/4 as a substitute for EBC GLIDE to throw into your house wash mix? They seem very similar wondering if anyone’s done this or has knowledge on it. Thanks!
its a surfactant so you can downstream it, but why would you? Downstreaming 12.5% SH and that’s it works for pretty much everything. Zero surfactant for normal house wash. Just keep windows wet so on hot days you often do 1 side at a time chem/rinse especially if its in the sun. On cloudy/cooler days I will often chem the entire house in 1 pass then rinse in 1 pass. EZ PZ.
If you need to clean windows specifically then a waterfed pole and a 5 stage filtration system on your truck/trailer is the best option.
But this doesn’t leave windows looking great. You still have to clean them separately after. With EBC Glide it leaves them looking pretty close to squeegeeing/tucker poling them. That’s the whole point of it, and for each wash it comes in at very little cost.
If it works for you and your customers then that’s great. For my customers I don’t think it would work well. I’ve tried similar experiments but nothing gets windows looking like they do brushing them with 0 TDS. I tell people the regular house wash gets those windows clean but not 100% spotless. If they want 100% spotless then I will need to make 0 TDS water and clean them after the regular house wash. People are in general thrilled with the regular house wash and how their windows turn out.
