Downstream tips

Hey, I’ve been working on starting a pressure washing business and have used this website to help me learn most of what I need. I was down streaming my house yesterday for practice and realized I can’t hit the top of the siding with the black tip. Is there another tip I can use that will reach farther but still allow me to downstream.

Hello!

What equipment are you using? Engine size and GPM, gun, hose length etc?

Get a Jrod or quad rod, plenty of threads on this

These are also available at most any Lowe’s/home depot https://www.lowes.com/pd/SurfaceMaxx-Pro-Second-Story-Nozzle-Kit/3606314?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-sol-_-google-_-lia-_-240-_-pressurewashers-_-3606314-_-0&placeholder=null&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwOz6BRCgARIsAKEG4FUYnKBi4_qPIcppPYRM_5Hc49yKamyQloLgK45TMtat8-PPmdcQjEAaArvMEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

You have to match the shooter tip orifice size with the machine being used.

@dcbrock Really? Most people here recommend using the 3-7gpm m5 twist on an 8gpm to get higher, but it makes sense to use the smaller one if your less than 8gpm as it probably wouldn’t go as high. The assassin nozzle is awesome though, I use it (attached to my jrod) instead of the m5 when I need to get real high. And If I need to get super high I put it on the end of my 79” lance, that also works like medium pressure hitting hard to reach areas.
Can probably get it other places maybe pressure tek but this works great https://www.powerwash.com/assassin-stainless-steel-shooter-tip-soap-nozzle.html

you use the 3-7 to get more pressure, if you want higher get the 7-12, less mist and less pressure. Sometimes the 3-7 tip too much pressure if on delicate surfaces or like when doing screen porches. I carry both plus my shooter tip.

Thanks guys, just found a few tips hidden in the trailer I bought and figured out that I had a tip that lets me DS pretty far without a lot of pressure.
