Downstream injector issue

Question about downstream injectors:

I’ve been using these deluxe super soaker downstream injectors with a bypass. It has worked great until recently. Now it only pulls SH with the ball valve set to very low pressure.

I’ve changed the injector many times, the ball valve on the bypass, and chanced all O rings.
I even tried removing the bypass and the problem persists.

If anyone has an idea what is causing this, I would appreciate the advice!

I’m confused. The injector should only pull soap when using low pressure tips or having the ball valve nearly fully open. What’s your problem?

You currently have about 9 more of points of friction loss and leaks than you need. Get rid of the ball valve and bypass crap, put a normal injector on, go back to work

I’m no expert but the injector should be on the bypass side.

Did you try installing a new injector?

Injectors go bad constantly. Get a new Injector. You should always have a few as backups.

I had a couple of those high dollar injectors made of SS. They pull great when working, but despite rinsing the internal of mine corroded closed almost completely in about a month or so. Wouldn’t pull squat… I went back to using just a stock 2.1 3-5 gpm injector.

Also your injector bypass not set up correctly. Put the injector in the loop. That way if you’re bypassing you’ll have a straight flow with less turbulence.

That injector hose isn’t doing you any favors either, might be collapsing. The braided stuff tends to hold up better

Good catch, that stuff collapsed on me as well.

Hose and injector can be checked yes. I also check the origins often. I wish we had a chance to get another photo from you. I hope there is a solution… :slightly_smiling_face:
