Door hangers - need ideas

I’m having new door hangers designed.
Just curious what everyone is saying/doing for their call to action?

My current ones don’t have a call to action and I think that plays a part in their lackluster performance.

Statistically, a $off offer outperforms a % deal. Plus it stays consistent if buy a lot and don’t use them all up immediately. But always have an offer on anything that goes to a “cold” market.

I have been debating doing these myself. I saw one that had a 50$ off any service coupon as well as a 40$ referral offer for roof cleaning which intrigued me. Even if they aren’t interested, that could get you some extra business and would be worth 40$.

Referral programs are always great to have…people are lazy when it comes to helping you though, it has to be super-easy, and you have to make it worthwhile too. But you’re saving the marketing/lead gen. $$$s for that super-hot lead, so why not pay that to them for closed jobs?

Do you all use anything like that?

If you mean referrals, absolutely! Anyone that refers someone gets a % of the value of the job completed. It’s basically an old school “finder’s fee”, and it roughly matches our marketing spend % (which we save on those leads)

Do you just cut them a check?

We send them a certificate. They can apply it to their next service as a credit, give it to a friend or a charity, or redeem it for a check. Some people just never respond bc they didn’t do it to get anything…
