Look at SEK Surebondâs SB 4000 sealer. Itâs a penetrating sealer, water based goes on easy and has a salt blocker in it. Since itâs penetrating you donât have to add traction, it never has to be stripped and doesnât change the color of the concrete. It fades over time and you reapply it. Stupid easy money, no special equipment required, back roll the low spots and to keep it from puddling.
Bidding 1st stamped job & customer wants it sealed. Do you have a rough average of time based on square foot? I prefer to price by the foot. Our house wash is dawn with bleach & we use hot water. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
You really donât want to use Dawn for house washes. It can cause issues such as disturbing the oxidation. You should look into ordering a professional surfactant. Hot water is unnecessary for house washing and some even advise against it.
It doesnât take long to seal a driveway. Youâre just spraying the sealer using a pump up, 12v pump, or airless sprayer. It helps to use a roller to use on any areas where sealer mightâve puddled up. Some will even use a roller to cut in the edges before spraying the rest.
I go with marinegrunt & DJPWS regarding Dawn and hot water for a house but I will admit to using a warm water setting on a cold day in the spring/fall. Sealing: go with the coverage on the product, you can spray a gallon in about 15-20 minutes. Smooth or stamped concrete is pretty tight so donât over apply.
