Diy proportioning system

Hey y’all, seen a lot in here about hem but no info on options to build or to buy from other than spending the $1,200 rediculous price for the other system. Any help I’d appreciate looking to buy or build

I made $1,278 on one roof job this week. I can’t understand why so many people think the Proportioner is ridiculously priced.

Mainly because you could make the same $1287 without it.

Because the stainless box and stuff isn’t needed, I can build one for around $600 just looking for resources before I spend $100 each on metering ball valves. The system is mainly made up of simply check valves, metering ball valves.
I work full time at ksc in the launch equipment shop. I can make my own stainless box out of the electrical stock we have here. So yea why spend $1,200 when I can spend $600. This is why I save over $10,000 yearly because I save and diy every chance I get.

That doesn’t make it ridiculously priced. Return on investment is what matters.

The way I see it is that you are getting a lot more than a few valves and a stainless box. You are getting years of research and development and testing. You are also getting tech support when things aren’t going right. To me that’s easily worth the extra $600, not to mention the time saved in sourcing the parts and then assembling it all.

For the record, I don’t have a Proportioner or any other metering system. I’m pretty good at batch mixing. My comments are strictly about the price/value of the Proportioner as I see it. I spent an hour or so at a networking/training event talking with Tim A. who designed and sells the system and hearing him explain the process of research and development that went into it, and listening to why he uses higher cost parts, etc… So, I just don’t think $1200 is outrageous considering all that.

How can i contact you to purchase one @frankpeters

Are these still for sale?

I couldn’t get ahold of him a couple months ago.

I ended up getting mine from https://washingequip.com the guy who runs in, Brian, is on this forum and was great to deal with.
