Cleaning lichen off cedar shakes has always been difficult for me, especially when I’m trying to clean from a distance. I’m not sure I want the headache of cleaning this house. Do you guys have any tips on how best to remove the lichen from these shakes while minimizing furring?
Strong mix and let nature finish the work. I’ve only done a few cedar shakes but the few I have done have been in terrible shape. So I put strong mix to kill the organics and let it take care of it self.
It will need some pressure to get that off.
I’d probably walk. Anyone who let’s their house get in that shape isn’t going to want to pay you what you need to charge to do it right.
