Direct drive and buffer tank question

We have 130 gallon buffer tank. 4.0 gpm direct drive. 5.5 gpm pump in between. Is there anything else I need to know? Pressure wash store here said it should be good. We should have it set up Monday or Tuesday. But just don’t know if there are any extra things I need to know. Nervous to have it run on the same battery as our 12v soft wash system as well.

Have you bought the machine yet?

Yes. Buy a backup 5.5 pump and pay attention for when the 1 you have installed dies, so you can shut your rig down before you burn up the PW-pump.

Yea we already have pump and machine.

$4gpm direct drive + $5.5gpm 12v pump = $Gear drive pump.
Or… run the direct drive straight from the spigot & toss the buffer tank in the shed until it would be of any benefit to you. That’s why he was asking if you bought it yet.

We want buffer tank because we will have soft wash running and pressure at same time. Two people working is our goal. I understand working around that by filling tank batch mix style but yes working towards new machine soon.

Ok well, you’ll for sure want a couple extra deep cycle batteries for that booster pump, don’t try to run everything off one.

Ok I figured I’d have to buy two. In the future will a better battery be okay like a lithium ion battery for two pumps. Or is that still a no go.

For now just get a WalMart $100 deep cycle just for the water pump, that way you’re not out a ton of $$$ when you get a normal setup.
