Different Injector For DECREASED draw rate?

I have 2 5.6 GPM machines that I run General Pump 2.3 mm hi-draw injectors on. I find that more often than note I have to cut my 12.5% to 6.25% by adding water at a 50/50 ratio. Is there a different injector size I can go to that will cut the draw rate in half so that I don’t need to cut it any more? (I have no need for the hotter mix. I use an X-Jet whenever I need a really heavy mix.)

EDIT: From looking it up, it looks like a 1.8mm hi-draw has 61% the port area of the 2.3… So that should draw 61% as much mix, right? If so, I could use that and just not cut the mix any more.

No it’s the opposite. You want to draw less SH, increase the orifice size.

Just use proportioning tips for the injector. @dperez sells them.

You would think but no not at all. If your hose barb is internally threaded like The Gold Standard Injector you can use the proportioning tips we offer located here

@Corbin Sorry, I goofed. If you have a GP brass high draw the hose barb adapter is NOT internally threaded for metering tips.

True. However, it wouldn’t be too hard to rig something up to put the metering tip at the other end of the suction hose and achieve the same effect, right?

You could thread a CPVC “slug” and friction fit the insert within the hose and thread metering tips into that. Retail would be around $18 There’s just no market for stuff like this in my opinion

I agree. @Corbin looks like you need a Gold Standard injector in your life, amigo!
