Who has built a washer with a diesel engine (Kubota, Yanmar, Cummins, Perkins, etc) I am Looking to get some real world feedback.
What brand engine and pump did you go with?
What horsepower is your engine?
I’m currently eyeballing a 49 hp diesel/122 foot pounds of torque. I know a lot of these guys that are using these big flow RTX 70 pumps with either the Kohler, CRX or Vanguard engines they are claiming to get 17 GPM/2500 psi. Even with the service factor of 1.3 this requires a gas horsepower of 38. At a service factor of 1.5 this brings you up to 44 hp.
I know psi x gpm / 1450 x (Depending on who you ask) 1.2, 1.3 or 1.5 = gas HP needed. A 37 hp Kohler has I believe roughly 55 foot pounds of torque. Is the same formula true when it comes to a diesel engine?
