Oh I get paid somewhat professionally. I just don’t spend a lot of money. You spend less once you understand no one cares what care you drive and there might be times when you don’t know where your income is going to come from. I keep my bills low so I can feel free. Thats why I do this after all.
Oh, I am all for controlling spending. I’ve been an IT contractor for just over 13 years. Some weeks I make $200 and some weeks I make $5000. My wife can’t work due to MS.
One thing I’ve learned is personal overhead has almost nothing to do with what you should charge. The things that do matter are the quality of your work and your skill at bringing in work. A person can be very skilled at their craft and still not understand their real valve. OTH, if your happy that’s ok too.
