Debating whether I should return used trailer & build new or keep & repair. What's your opinion?

Yesterday I purchased a used trailer & it ran good testing it out. However I am new to this but I might have missed something . I paid 3500

It’s actually 2 pressure pro Eagle 4035 H on a 5 by 10 trailer.

Older but not much use, bought it from a gospel church singer who does maintenance for different church’s around the country.

After parking it, I found out the carburator is leaking, no biggie easy fix and later found the pump leaking not even running.

It is parked on a incline at my house so maybe thats it but it has me thinking whether I should just by new.

I would have no problem building it I just don’t know much about pressure washing systems and the components required.

Is that top picture what’s leaking? If so, that’s a thermal relief valve, easy fix.

If you got it running even half way right you could make back $3500 in two weeks and then push it over a cliff if you wanted to. If nothing else make back your money and then build you a new trailer using what you want off that one and sell off what you don’t.

Like @steve said. Easy fixes. If you’re going to replace it with a thermal relief valve you should buy a couple. Personally I’d just plug it.

Those machines have unloaders.

Do you have an iPhone? If so I’ll FaceTime you tomorrow morning and walk you through it using my machine.

No android.

I guess in my head what I am worried about is how much trouble it would get me later on?

I know those machines are 1500 each new, the trailer probably about a grand, the reels probably 300 each?

What I don’t know is how much I could build a 4 GPM machine if I bought the components seperate.

In the perfect world I would have a 4 GPM machine to start off & then add a 8 GPM machine. Probably a bigger trailer & so I can add a burner later on & a roof wash system.

BTW where would I post it to sell it for more lol

You bought it. It’s yours

Run those pumps for a month and buy and 8gpm machine. Sell one of them for $600 and buy a 5.5gpm pump for the other machine

Get it tuned and tested. You can make decent money with that two man setup. As far as cosmetics, look on amazon. You can get all the replacement parts that you need, engine shroud, carburetor, recoil, valve cover and tank. The prices are reasonable and they mounted up without any problem.

After speaking to Brodie I think I am going to keep it & run with it.

All these parts would be online only right?

No, you can probably get them from your local small engine repair shop. It’s just easier for me to get them from Amazon.

Thank you sir,

Going to order some stuff.

Have a small leak on the hose reel swivel, need to get a O ring for that as well so might as well order everything

Thinking about replacing lots of the plumbing?

Rust & Teflon on almlst all of it or should I just wait till I have a leak?

I think you got great set up…I’m not expert but if I was you I would replace what needs as you go. How many gpm are those pressure pros?

They are 4 GPM each

Plan to set it up to have the option of hooking them up together & get 8 GPM

Yea u can but you can make money off just using one of those and one for back up then you can sell one and buy a 8gpm so you can have 1 4gpm and one 8. 4gpm are sufficient for house washes to me thats what I use. But of course I dream about those 8 gpm pressure pros… so sweet

Do you use a roof pump or xjet to do house wash?

The 8 GPM would be for the surface cleaner, K always here you need more GPM for them.

I use xjet mainly because I’m in soflo and I can’t get enough chemical through downstreaming… I do not have roof pump

Because I do mostly stucco
