Damaged QC's

does anyone else have this problem? I’ve been going through these. This is the hose end that attatches to the gun/surface cleaner. Makes it real hard to disconnect to change out.

Yeah, when you get pressure, you probably feel that little snap as the QC tightens up. That eventually makes the plug mushroom out like that. You can file it a bit to make it last longer.

Somebody more experienced may have a better fix or a suggestion from keeping it from happening in the first place. I’m guessing a better quality plug would help in that regard.

Thanks. I figured it was from the kick of the pressure. Only getting about 2 weeks out of them before I have to change them.

Two weeks is about normal. We replace the quick connects often on the flow end of the guns but typically never unplug the guns from the hose and those last 3 or 4 months.

William, have you ever attached your gun without the quick connection? Since you use it on your SC will it save the replacement of the quick Conn’s? I was considering trying it just to see how mad it makes me. I have never used over 200’ yet on a house.

It would work but it’s nice to unhook the gun to roll up hose sometimes or feed thru a chain link fence doing pool houses or tennis courts

See that’s why I ask… experience!
