I like to tinker. What is cool to me might be junk to someone else though. My wife showed me this website called pinterest and there are so many cool things on there I want to make. The cannon was a lyle gun for shooting rope but a tennis ball filled with sand worked pretty awesome. I have a small float and a pump but haven’t figured out how to make the shaker box yet.

Yeah Pinterest is pretty awesome… it has been very useful for my camper build on a 6x12 enclosed trailer. There are some crafty/creative jokers out there.
I found pics for murphy beds there for my trailer. Sold it to @GuyB before I turned it into a camper though. Good ideas for sure
Usually a shaker box is on a dry banker. Some guys take gold slices and turn them,into combo machines so they can see she shallow areas along the bank.
I may not have the right terminolgy. I’m getting ideas from that gold rush show and internet pics. The shaky thing that water runs down. It may never work but my kids are having a blast making it.
That’s a sluice. Some have boxes you can shake, most dont. Depends on the material you are putting through it. If you are going after gemstones(lots in your area) you can,also build a trommle and clean a lot of stuff fast. But you need a good water source. Lots of states have big restrictions on dredging but often you can jighbank or use a trommle with less fuss… But most states require various permits for any state property
I’ve got a little gas trash pump that will be my suction. I found my old raft in the woods that floated off in the flood. Cut it in half to make a little float/barge.
