Cross country bulldog

My dad is 75 and has unique ways. Couple of weeks ago he woke up and decided he was going to drive to New Mexico and Arizona to visit some old army buddies. He came home yesterday with an English Bulldog in the back seat. He said about 6 hours out of El Paso he heard something in the back seat and there was a dog there. That dog rode cross country with dad to NC. Mom took it to the vet. It had a chip. It lived next door to dads buddy. I guess it got in the car while Dad was loading up. Dad is driving West right now to take the dog home.

:rofl::rofl::rofl: that’s great

Now it all makes sense…

But that it a story for the ages, lol

Would have been cheaper to fly the dog home. People ship pets all the time. Great story though.

One of Dad’s buddies offered to edit and publish one of Dad’s books. Dad couldn’t figure out how to email the attachment thingy so He mailed the entire computer, keyboard, monitor from NC to Nebraska. After the guy got it he called and asked dad what how he should get the computer back to him. Dad said to just put it in the box and leave it on the porch. Guy thought UPS was going to pick it up. Dad drove to Nebraska to pick it up

I love it.

I’m really enjoying the dadposting. Very cool stories and many of them have me thinking that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Seems just like you to mail a computer as opposed to an email

@Innocentbystander You should be writing a book or memorializing these stories of your father. I have tears in my eyes reading this. You are blessed to have him.
