Not sure about the PSI drop…find the formula on here and you’ll be able to figure out what you’ll get.
Here’s the thread:
For what the pump and unloader cost I can just buy a belt driven Powerwasher
Always, always remember that GPM is more important than PSI. You’ll be amazed at how much faster 5.5 cleans than 4, even at much lower PSI. Especially when just starting out, PSI can be more of an enemy than a friend…lower is better.
Yes you can, but it probably won’t have an Udor pump, or a high quality unloader. It’s totally your decision.
I don’t want to go over 6 because of the fact that i use there water or it cost them more to bring water so 5.5 would be good I’ll save up some more money and and buy a pump and a unloader or buy a rig with less HP and more GPM
I could always use a back up rig
Thanks for all the information
You’re very welcome…I am, honestly, just repeating the things I’ve read here and on the other forums, so I can’t take any credit for the info.
As far as using people’s water is concerned, keep in mind that at the average house, even with 8gpm, you’ll be using about $5 worth of water, if that. I’ve only had (literally) like 5 people express any concern about it and I did my best to talk them out of hiring me. I think I succeeded 3 of those times. If you don’t act like its a big deal, your customers won’t either.
Around here they don’t think twice about 1000=1 maybe
The point is, don’t even mention water. The vast majority of people expect you to use their water. Those who bring it up and make a big deal over it, you don’t want as customers.
Yea I don’t mention it I’ve had one customer say something I didn’t do there I just gave a price they didn’t like
That, my friend, is what I happily refer to as the “Hassle Tax”. When I get someone like that, I charge enough that either they won’t hire me or, if they do, I’ll be smiling the whole time, despite working under a microscope. Usually they don’t hire me, and I’m fine with that!
