All right boys I need you to put your thinking caps on and help me out with this one picture has paint stains which I’m going to use graffiti removal I’m thinking. The other one looks like mortar dropped on the concrete the customer use boric acid did not take it off.

How old is the concrete? Looks newish

That little bit on the curb from the new pour can come off with a rubbing brick or a grinder, or wire brush, or chisel.

I’d look at them and say, “I wash concrete, not repair it”.

Seems like a great time to reference a concrete contractor. Get that referral back from him later.

It’s a year and 1/2 old construction contractor asking me if I can get it . brick idea works for me. I’m trying to build a relationship with the contractor or I would tell him bye…

Ah hmm in that case I get it. Also odd he’s not trying to fix it.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, as a window cleaner, I recently decided that I am either a glass restoration expert (which I am not) or a window cleaner.

I think for a lot of things in the pressure washing field, we need to figure out if we do cleaning or remediation.

I like that!

Looks like latex paint I’m sure mek or whatever paint thinner you have and some soap and quick scrub n rinse would do the trick. Graffiti remover is for oil based paints mainly but would probably work it’s usually a mix of paint thinners and butyls.

Agree a metal cup wheel on a grinder or a 5 in 1 with a hammer would work on the mortor. That acid used is weak sauce. If u need one just get grout haze removal pint or muriatic acid and dilute the hell out of it still will work the even a plastic stiff drywall scraper or 5 in 1.

Oh wow looks like homedepot sells a mortar removal spray now there ya go. Many dissolve the calcium in it so it should sit for about 5 minutes then slap it with a turbo.

couple of other products which might do the trick, XYLENE , TOLOUNE. I think Xylene is a bit more powerful. Used them both on some tough jobs with very good results
Good luck

Graffiti remover or paint stripper will work on the paint stains.

The new mortar drippings need to be chiseled off first, then hit with some muriatic or 600 cleaner. You’re gonna need some elbow grease and a wire brush. Don’t use an angle grinder wire wheel on the concrete. It will leave marks. A hand wire brush, unfortunately is the better option. Don’t get the cleaner on anything you don’t intend to clean the entire piece. If you scrub some muriatic on one part of the curb, you’re going to need to lightly scrub muriatic on the remaining section to maintain color uniformity.

They also just contacted me about rust on asphalt will f9 work?

F9 or 600 will work. Again, you will need to plastic off the sections of concrete that you are not cleaning and apply chem to the entire concrete section. Dilute to specs and scrub the area. Give it 5-10 minutes, and repeat until the stain is gone. Then hit the entire concrete section, leave for 5-10 minutes and rinse the entire surface off.

I used to do concrete for a number of years. They didn’t clean up pre-existing concrete and allowed concrete cream to harden.
I’m sorry I don’t have any good solutions to fix the problem. Just seems a shame when little things like that ruin a good job

Now I see why @Innocentbystander always says go pound sand… I just wasted 10 minutes reading through crap questions and crap post
