Concrete Retaining Wall

No kidding! When I first built my 8gpm I didn’t have a surface cleaner for it. But I had one of those cheap ones that connect to a lance. It flew back over my head when I hit the trigger. It’s at the landfill

On walls like that, I knock off the loose stuff with just my ball valve, pump spray straight 10.5%/surfactant on the remaining, let dwell and just rinse it off with ball valve. Comes off super easy, repeat if needed…let the chemical do the work!

Got it done, just used 4% SH and 40 degree tip and 180 degree water, took about 2.5 hours. Thanks for the suggestions.

So company I did the long wall for now wants me to do the building. You think 3-4% SH and rinse will care for it? Should I use surfactant? Or just a little bit? Thanks.I’m assuming a dedicated 12 volt would be best?

I did exactly the same job at a mall parking lot. I used a 12v and just put a really hot mix on. Melted off instantly, finished a 100ft section in 30 minutes. Removed some graffiti as well - that was the only time I pulled out the pressure washer. Took an additional 30 minutes for that.

I say go hot on the mix. You won’t hurt that concrete. The only concern is the runoff. I can’t see what’s after that slab it’s sitting on.

Thanks!

This concrete building has about 3200 square feet of concrete to be cleaned. I know prices vary from areas, what could be a ballpark per square foot to clean. Will be using 12 volt system 3-4% SH and rinse. I did the wall at .50 square foot, you think the same for this structure too? Thanks in advance for any input!

Kind of the obvious answer but estimate the amount of time and the cost of chem then charge how much you want to make in that amount of time. If they need it broken down in your invoice/quote, divide that cost into sqft.
