Now about the post
I have cleaned quite a few driveways and sidewalks I have read alot about different ways of doing it some say hot water some say gpm some say yes and no for chemical
I really need some help with this
My unit is a belt drive 4000 psi 4 gpm I know its not quite big enough If i knew what i know now I would have bought a 8gpm first but hopefullly this year i will be able to get one.
I have a 18 inch and 16 inch surface cleaner 18 does ok but have to go slower with it
Some concrete is worse than others I have not done any commercial so grease and gum not and issue right not BUT dirt is some of these sidewalks are black from dirt and mold and really kick my butt
I have a church to do soon and sidewalks are black
What is best way to clean concrete
I have tried degreaser but did not seem to help
Will 12% sh work on concrete
I have some of Bobs F18 will that work
Simple cherry
Cling on

No Idea what do you do to clean concrete thanks in advance

When your done pressure washing it if there are still mildew stains you can use a pump up sprayer with about 70% sh and 30% water. That will usually clean any tough mildew stains. Be careful not to get it on grass or plants though.

Do you pre-treat with down-streamed house wash? You should. The soap package in the house wash will help the bleach penetrate the mold and mildew. Don’t over do the surfactant because then you just create more of a rinse hassle.

4 gpm is fine. 5.6 might be a little faster but it’s not like you’re trying to clean with a jug of Scrubbin’ Bubbles and a fingernail brush like some recent passers though have been entertaining us with.

After cleaning the sidewalks, study on downstreaming some straight bleach to give it a boost and a brighten that will continue as it dries.

I forgot to mention that I only use a pump up sprayer if the driveway is so terrible that down streaming had little to no effect. 90% of the driveways I encounter down streaming works just fine.

I have not tried my house wash mix but will
Just to clarify when you say downstream straight SH I need to just run the SH with no water added
It will still have water mixed in through gun though right I think my gun mix is 8 to 1
Or is there a way to downstream with out water. Don’t think so. But wanted to make sure

If you downstream before the pump, you can run strait 12.5% SH

You got it, dip your pickup tube in plain 12% bleach with nothing added.

I did also advise to do so only after studying the situation.

Not every setting or situation is suitable to apply bleach and leave it.
