Concrete blocks- help

I’m fairly new at this, so any assistance in guiding me on what to charge would be appreciated. I need help quoting a job to clean concrete blocks. The blocks divide the customers property line and are around all of her flower beds.

The stone block retaining walls equal out to 583 sq/ft.

I was planning on using my turbo nozzle for the job.

Thanks in advance for any advance.

You clean all of those with a turbo nozzle you’re going to make one hell of a mess. If you don’t have a 12v, get a pump up and put a real strong mix on them, at least about 6% if not straight. Let sit for about 10min and then hit with 700-800 psi. I’d be in at $300 range

Same as @Racer said….hot mix will do wonders, then rinse. Probably 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. Max

Thank you!

What about the grass?

That wall has lichen all over it. That wall has moved or it was improperly installed by the homeowner. Expect blocks to fall, and if it is older, don’t expect the blocks to be colored through.

I’ve done one just like that before and it sucked. As Racer said, using pressure, you’re going to have a hell of a mess. No way to pressure wash where they meet the ground without blowing crap everywhere. Plus they will move on you. Pump sprayer with a strong mix and multiple coats is your best bet. You can minimize how much gets on the grass that way. That’s what I ended up doing. 2-3 times spraying it, then 1000 psi rinse. Still sucked.

Better yet, politely tell them no.

Those blocks can crumble, especially if the moss has been on them for a while.

Better set expectations that some of the blocks are already weakened and may chip/break/crack under pressure.
