Please never remind me that I called this the Alabama Sharknado. I’d probably call mine the Kansas City Whaler which makes less sense.
Merely joking about the names of some other builds out there.
Anyway, this is day 1 of the trailer build and since @Trp5925 was kind enough to have it waterproofed, the part I least wanted to do, I can actually spend today doing a little bit of fabricating.
As a recovering carpenter, I still believe that layouts are a girl’s best friend. The time it takes making a mock up with masking tape and measuring twice to get all your cutting done at once is time well spent and will reduce rework.
It virtually dummy proofs it for me and that’s pretty crucial.
It’s raining cats and logs so I can’t open up the trailer to let it flash off so I’ll be laying tape in a respirator, but if you guys don’t hear from me in a couple hours KCFD’s phone number is simply 911.
Update. All the racks are built and and ready to get bolted in after corroseal. All the plumbing is cut to length. GX 690 and 8 gpm gear drive Udor gear drive 8 gpm, unloader, and all 6 Hannay Reels are en route.
The pictures aren’t super exciting at the moment because it’s literally just rusty steel racks and pvc lying on the floor and want to get the corroseal on them and bolted in before I show you guys the steps I took to get there.
Thanks man you too. That’s Penny to match her color. Millie is the goober with the fat neck. St. Pat is little ol’ man. Got dropped at a shelter in Maryland on St. Patrick’s Day.
I know what you mean about taking a turbo nozzle to the face. Lol
