I have 2 General Pump 4.5 GPM pumps and one is over 4 years old. I replace the seals every other year and I’ve replaced the check valves in it also but it still runs strong. The other one is only a year old so I don’t know about it yet. I personally just don’t like messing with belts and guards, that’s why I haven’t upgraded.
