Commercial Gutter cleaning

Hello so I am not sure whether this is considered residential or commercial. Anyways, a friend of mine works at a apartment complex and is very close friends with the manager. He convinced her to hire someone to clean the gutters, they had one quote by their landscaper for $5,000. They declined that offer and asked me what I’d be willing to do. There is 32 buildings all are 2 stories besides one. I am in these apartments frequently as my friend lives in them also. So I’ve got a good basic idea of what to quote although I will be going again later today to get a better look. I was thinking in the $3,000-3,600 range. It’s been very dry and for the most part will be able to leaf blow most of the debris out. Has anyone worked on similar projects as this and how did you quote the job? I would like to stay under $5000 and beat out the landscapers pricing but still not undersell myself.

What is the pitch of the roof? Can you walk them?

When you say gutter cleaning, are we talking outside or cleaning leaves out? Any tiger stripes?

I did the 2nd story exterior gutters on 92 patio homes and it came out to be around $2700.

@Innocentbystander is the one to ask.

Yes very walkable, pitch is a 5/12

$90 per building. Figure 12 to 15 minutes a building.

What have you eaten today? Lol

3 fried eggs for breakfast. Two cups of decaf for lunch, salad for supper. Wife says I need to lose 10 pounds. But I have cleaned gutters on several thousand apartment buildings

Skipping meals will actually make your body hoard fat cells. Something high on the glycemic index like a pack of almonds compiled with a Muscle Milk or a power bar would be a great addition to that lunch. Add a multi vitamin & a source of potassium while you’re at it. Also, caffeine burns more calories than decaf.

I drink decaf because of blood pressure, not to lose weight… About 8 cups a day. I’ve never eaten a noon meal. Just breakfast and supper. I did àdd fried spam to my salad cause I’m not really interested in losing weight

I would’ve thought you just ate lobster tails & caviar all the time, drizzled with Gray Poupon. I eat 2 meals a days also, mid morning & evening. But a snack like a Muscle Milk or a power bar sure does come in handy when the grindstone it twirling around. My potassium levels are always in the red so I like to hammer down a 12 oz can of V8 whenever I think of it.

Wow! Went and checked it out fully today and that was exactly what I came up with too. Thanks for the confirmation :+1::+1:

Muscle milk products have always been loaded with fat to get a better flavor than their competition. And you dont build or destroy fat cells at our age (much less hoard them) you simply change their size (4th law of thermo dynamics? I forget what Newton said) but youre right about it being bad for fat loss to skip meals.

I keep a Muscle Milk in my cooler in case I get hungry on the job. They sure do come in handy when I need a tasty lunch in 30 seconds. I’m not a nutritionist or anything. I just know a 110 pound lady that can bench 165 & works out 6 days a week. I blindly take her word for these things without looking into any further & it’s worked out well so far. She taught me about the glycemic index; potatoes provide energy right away that burns up quickly while almonds provide energy all day. I was just trying to pass along some good advice to @Innocentbystander He’s given me some good advice a time or two.

I can’t attest to the accuracy of their nutrition labels but it looks like they could use a little more fat if they are only 5 grams a pop. How does that compare to a double cheeseburger from Wack-Arnold’s?

I’d add about $10/building for time to move ladder and go up and down. Innocent simply jumps from one to the other. They don’t call him the apartment superman for nothing.

No doubt…my goal is about 7 meals a day (granted 5-6 of those are protein bars or shakes, lol). I’ll never fully get back to that until I get the gym back into my daily schedule…

Thread offramp…

How on earth do you guys go to the gym when you have a full week of washing? I just joined a local one and have no idea how this will work.

I used to work in an office wing full of engineers. They would jog on their lunch breaks while I gorged on cheeseburgers. But they spent 8 hours in cushioned chairs while I was climbing racks in the warehouse. There some sort of balance hidden in all this nonsense.
