Commercial Flat Work Question

Hey guys, hope the winter is treating you well. As some of you know, I am strictly a fleet washer. Old Dominion is one of my accounts and they asked me to clean up their fuel point. The concrete was poured July/August of last year. I’ve read enough about flat work to understand not to put too much pressure on it when the concrete is fairly new, but most of what I have read pertains to residential concrete…not exactly sure if a freight company uses a stronger/denser (if that’s a thing) concrete. My unloader is set to 2200 psi but can go lower with the right tips, would that be too much pressure with a 25 or 40 degree fan tip?

Here is my plan of action to get this cleaned up, let me know if I am missing something please…
Pump up sprayer with HCS-400 (Hydro Chem product that I use to clean any grease on a truck) starting at 20:1 and get stronger as needed
Dwell 10-15 minutes making sure it stays wet
Use a stiff bristled broom to agitate
Rinse off with the pressure washer

You can got to 3000psi no problem - spray on worse spots, scrub in, not hard, just to work soap in, let sit about 10min and then downstream mix over whole are, let sit about 5min and go to work. Run your heat at least at 150.

thanks! I’m gonna show my ignorance here…

downstream mix?!? Bleach? There isn’t growth, just diesel stains. Plus I don’t have a surface cleaner, no need to buy one as of yet, first time I was asked to clean some concrete. It’s probably 200 sq ft at most. I may get into some flat work if this goes halfway decently and then get a SC.

You can ds anything, in this case your degreaser. You can use wand, will be fine, just take you a little longer. Realize, 80% of those stains are still going to be there, just lighter and not slick.

A little late to this thread but I did plenty of those fuel islands for Paclease, Penske and all my other large fleets. I would tip up the burners to about 315 degrees. I used Sodium Metasilicate full strength (no water aside from the water in the concentrate solution) upstreamed with a LP gun, let it dwell 10-15 then went back over it with the SC while upstreaming just enough so I wouldn’t blind myself from seeing my track. Don’t forget to sell that canopy, it’s covered in diesel soot. You can single step with your #2 of choice, heat and a loooong lance.
