Clothing Impervious to SH

My Under Armour sport shirts seem impervious to bleach so far. 95% polyester 5% Elastane.

Wife threw away the others, said they stink. Last one I got.

Same ones i wear, there great :ok_hand::ok_hand:. Dry out quick as well.

Yes they dry quick!

I used to wear rashguards all the time (basically the same thing as your polo). They got trashed and reeked after a few weeks. A couple of solutions to deal with the bacteria (which seems to love these poly/poly blends)

  1. wash and let air dry preferably in sunlight (UV does wonders, plus fresh air is good). The dryer is the worst.
  2. there are specific detergents you can use to defunkify them, (things like oxiclean)
  3. there is a vinegar solution, but I didn’t like it

Many things require a soak in a bucket. I got tired of all the fixes and just started trashing them after awhile, they were cheap enough. If your getting sublimated polos or embroidered polos be mindful of the embroidery material, it may not deal well with the funk fixes.

Google “rashguards stink” and you will find a whole lot of information. Hope this helps.

I’ve downgraded my uniform to all tees this year (as opposed to the polos I wore previously). Specifically, I get the Sport-Tek Men’s Competitor Tee, Style #7350 from Queensboro. They’re 100% polyester, lightweight and breathable. And Queensboro uses polyester thread, so the embroidery doesn’t bleach out, either.

I took the shirts to a local screen-printing place to have a single-color logo printed on the backs.

I have been trying out a few different tactical pants from Galls, on the recommendation of Brennon Williams.

These are my favorites, by far. Super lightweight, 100% polyester ripstop, a reasonable number of pockets, and an all around comfortable pant. I do wish tactical pants didn’t tend to be quite so baggy, though.

On sale for the moment @ $25.50/pair

These are my absolute favorite. They are fleece lined which even in the summer to me doesn’t feel that hot but in the winter it saves my butt. Also no matter how dirty it gets, it comes out perfectly clean every time without bleach spots. I’ve had caked on mud before on these really bad and after putting them in the wash they come out new every time. Water resistant and the fleeced lined part helps keep more water from seeping through

I tried to pay with PayPal and was warned away for some reason because they wouldn’t allow me to pay for pants and some rubber gloves. Weird.

These look spectacular: fleece lined? water repellant? No bleach stains? I’m in there like swim wear.

It’s 6:07am late April. Time to get started. What a great beginning to the season!

The pants are holding up great.

Galls is running a 20% off sale this week. Code ‘511SALE’. So they’re only $24/pair right now, with free shipping over $99.

I have no affiliation with the company, and don’t have a referral link or anything. But I just can’t get over how much I love these pants.

Wore my new pants today. Love them. Good recommendation. going to order some more once I get more bleach on these. Just house washes today, so didn’t put them to a real test yet. But very comfortable and stayed nice looking all day.

Do they have an elastic waist band ?
I think you ole farts call um gummy gutchers.

Actually they do, which surprised me. Just a couple of inches worth.

They have stretch waist bands, but they don’t look like the old man elastic style. They’re actually quite cleverly designed.

I’m gonna get some then. Thanks @Infinity

I gotta actually look presentable now that I’m including some commercial work instead of a gravel parking lot truck washing bum. Dadgumitt :unamused:
