what do you guys use for cleaning a cedar shake? same concentration of SH, fresh wash and water as for an asphalt? i just used disodium peroxy and oxalic on a siding job and it turned out very well but it is a butt load of work in my opinion for a roof… thoughts?
Make a combination of 1 oz. laundry detergent, 3 qt. water, and 1 qt. bleach to remove mold and mildew from cedar shakes. Pour some of the solution over each spot of mildew or mold and softly remove the mold or mildew with gentle brush. When you have removed the mold or mildew, use a pipe to spray the left over solution off the surface of the shake. This is the recipe of professionals.
