It sounded like a handful of folks took issue with how I handled the recent situation. I left the forum for what I genuinely felt was a bad thing for the industry and the forum. But I was also getting 2-3 texts, phone calls, emails, and messages a day asking about it and felt like a video link made the most sense to explain my position without retyping it repeatedly. If you don’t care for my method, let’s have a conversation about it. I’d love some feedback from a few of the folks who took exception to it.

But before we have a conversation about it, it might be prudent to lay out some other things that you all weren’t aware of.
I can understand not everyone agrees with me and I might have some folks who don’t like me here. I’m a big boy. But some other very well liked veterans also took issue with a past member’s behavior and unbeknownst to me thought it prudent to make Chris aware.
Some members expressed a fear for their business and personal safety, again, on their own.
Since all of this happened, someone has been booking fake jobs through my website using 816 area codes, but when I call I get bad numbers or two of the homeowners have no idea what I’m talking about. Effectively blocking off the calendar until I can make at least two calls to the numbers provided.
Today alone, I’ve received 7 calls from an unknown number to an old line and 2 other calls from 816 area codes that when I return the phone calls it redirects the lines back to me.
If you disagreed with the past member, it might be wise to stay alert for any fake reviews, phone calls, etc.
I’m not saying any of this to slander anyone or be a middle school girl by any means. But if your money is affected, it might be something you’re interested in handling as well.
Not to mention, Chris felt there was enough information to permanently ban the past member.
Also, to be fair to Chris, he just became aware of this a few days ago. He hadn’t seen my message, but it was getting increased views to it somehow. So this will be my only apology here. I truly apologize for assuming he’d seen the messages and was simply ignoring them.

I imagine we all agree on one thing: This a place for people interested in raising the bar of our industry, an industry which some of you hope will provide a better life for you and your family. My only hope and desire here is to help people make buckets of money with few headaches along the way, safely, and provide the best finished product possible to the people paying us.
