Christmas lights discussion (split off from winterizing thread)

Honestly, I would no way put 4" spacing on that…I don’t really like 4" even on shrubbery, only bought them when I couldn’t get anything else. It would really look best with 24" C9s, and some 6" minis up the trunk. I’d be ballpark guessing, but I’d think about 15-20 minis at 6" x 100lt, you could get away with 10-12 but it wouldn’t look great. At 4" anything you do is going to obviously show the lines that you really don’t want to see, and not look great IMO.

To clarify, i plan on putting the minis on lamp posts and c9’s on the trees. But minis on the trunks is a good idea too.

Sorry, didn’t read well :stuck_out_tongue:

You could get up to 100 C9s, again depends on your spacing, I’d use 24" in trees. And a few minis up the trunks.

4" minis on thos posts I’d guess 3, maybe 4

Respectfully disagree. 4” minis are all we order now. Started out with 6” for that reason but 4” makes everything look better especially inside wraps and trunk wraps. Just have to use more lights. For larger outside wraps yes, you will get a spiral but thats what many people want. If you don’t want to see the stands than yes go with 24” c9

Trees that size, you’re going to see the spiral either way. In the end it’s installation that makes the aesthetic, so personally I prefer the most versatile, but in the end it can come down to what I can get enough volume of at the time, which sucks for having a ton of different stuff…
