Choosing new unloader

I want to pick up a spare unloader for my 8gpm 3000psi to keep in my tool box. The question I have is should I pick up another pulsar or upgrade to one of the others out there. Maybe something along the lines of a k7 or zeromatic.

I’m in the same boat. Was thinking Zeromatic

That’s the only reason how I know about them  he’s the best!!!

I’ve been using the Zeromatic unloader this year and I love it. It doesn’t have the immediate kick like a regular unloader. The Zeromatic unloader on my 8 gpm machine has way less kick than the regular unloader on my 4 gpm machine. Bob told me that the Zeromatic unloader will make your hoses and guns last longer. That’s because the Zeromatic doesn’t have that harsh sudden kick like a standard unloader.

I just ordered a spare zeromatic for my 8 gpm machine. Hopefully I won’t need it for a long time. The standard unloader that came on my 8 gpm machine lasted only 7 months. I replaced it with a zeromatic and haven’t looked back.

That sounds good, what size bypass line do you use.

Not sure exactly what size my bypass hose is but it’s smaller than my 3/8ths high pressure hose when compared side by side. I’ve been told that the bypass hose doesn’t need to be too big in diameter. The unloader needs a certain amount of resistance from the bypass hose in order to work correctly. At any rate, the smaller bypass hose is the size that came with my pressure washer and seems to allow the unloader to do exactly what it’s supposed to do.

I was looking at using 3/8" for my bypass hose with a K7. Is anyone else running a K7 with 3/8"? I thought I read a thread that said there has been some issues with over-sizing the bypass hose.

Here is what I was thinking.

On 3 and 5 gpm should be fine on my 8 gpm I use 1 wire Pressure washer hose both ends pressed fittings don’t have to worry about leaks and the extra weight helps from jumping any at all think poly is rated around 225 psi

Where do you get the pressure washing hose with the pressed fittings?

About any hydraulic shop will snap u a pic tomorrow it just the fittings like come on the hose get them to put one on that swivels on one side
