Chemical usage

Now I’m wondering about storing bleach in 5 gallon buckets with the lid sealed. I was going to put 2 gallons of bleach in each bucket and seal them for later use and keep them in my garage. Now I’m wondering if there will be issues with the gases needing to be vented. I mean, the container it arrives in isn’t vented so I would think it would be ok for me to store it this way. ???

I pump out from my holding tank into these every morning to refill the downstream tanks. Each truck carries 5 or 6. If we go out of town I just carry 55 gallon drums. Keep the lids sealed tight. If you leave them open in your garage everything metal will be rusted before to long.

5 Gal Square Plastic HDPE White Jug | Swivel Handle | with 70mm Cap

ok will do. I was going to siphon 2 gals into each bucket from a 55 gal drum. Make up about 20 batches of house mix so I can actually get the drum off the back of my pickup. I’m currently using 3 gal SH/2gal water with 10%. From what I’ve read I’ll be able to reduce my SH down to 2 gal when I move up to the 12.5% #savedatmoney

Are you using the 10% from WM? Are you getting good results with 3 gals SH-2 gals water? Never tried but if I can cut it that way I can go further with my bleach.

Never mind just re read that you’re using it from a 55gal drum.

@Elitepowerwashing. Who me? No I’m currently using 10% that I’m buying by the gallon from Walmart. Trying to line up enough steady work to justify buying the 55 gallon drum. I’ve only been “legit” for 3 months. Yea man. Been getting great results with my mix. 3 gallons of 10% / 2 gallons water. 5 oz of elemonator. If you haven’t tried elemonator you’re missing out IMO. it’s the only thing I’ve ever used and have been nothing but impressed with how well it rinses. If the house isn’t that dirty I’ll even mix 2.5SH/2.5 water. I’ll soap half the house and by the time I finish with half the house it’s been 10 mins then I go rinse. Do the other side and repeat. My dwell time is usually 10-15 mins depending on how big the house is.

They can smell it - trust me, they know.

I use about 10 gallons for 2500 -3000 sq ft house, but I have a 10 gpm, and use it straight, you should be cutting yours

the elemonator masks it a little but you can still smell it for sure. I’ve had a couple customers say “it even smells clean”.

Try car washes. Preferably get a drum that stored a detergent based soap/chemical. Currently working at a car wash and we get rid of 30s 15s and even some 55s.

I actually went and picked up a 55 and 30 gal from a carwash a little while back. Guess it makes more sense to siphon into one large barrel and then siphon as I need it lol. Jeez sometimes I can’t see the forest because of the trees. I do want to find some 15 gallons though.

I used this 35 gallon drum today. Started with about 25 gallons and ended up with about 15 left. A lot better than stopping to fill up buckets

you just run a long syph, hose from your x-jet to the drum?

No. Been downstreaming instead of the x jet

How long you think that batch will keep? It looks like you have a shaded spot to store it.

Probably another good sized house or 2. The one I did today was about 2500 square feet with vinyl shed. House was brick but a lot of gutters and eves with mold and mildew.

Not sure how long it will stay fresh if that’s what you mean. It will be gone before the end of the week

There you go. No imagine a 65 gallon tank. You can wash 2 hours straight without refilling. Anything to make life easier and cut down on payroll

One day

@Elitepowerwashing…If there are any dairy farms near you, they get their cleaning chemicals in 15 gal containers. They usually have a few extras lying around. I had to clean it out but now it looks brand new. That’s how I got mine. It never hurts to ask.
