Chemical tank or bucket?

Always start minimum. You don’t wanna waste unnecessary chemical aka $$$. So start low and if you see that mix isn’t strong enough for the average house wash just bump the SH up a few more gallons in your next mix.

That’s a very good point. Like a lightbulb just came on! Lol, I really appreciate your time with this. I have been struggling with this issue for a week. So glad I ran across this site. If I have any more questions in the future, do you mind if I post them to you? You seem to really know this business and I m just getting started here in Houston.

No problem, glad to help. I’m still learning everyday lol. There are lots of guys on here that know all the ins and outs of this business. I still consider myself very much a rookie but I will answer anything I can for you.

This tank is just want I’ve been looking for!!! I have two questions as a rookie… 1.how do I get my siphon from my x-jet to stay at the bottom of the barrel? Bc I’m currently using a 5 gal HD bucket and it annoyingly comes out when I move around!

  1. Is it possible to get a much longer siphon tube so that my movement is not so restricted?

Just put a weight on it. I 've got a 45 deg brass fitting on mine, get big enough for hose to slid thru but small enough filter won’t. 45 deg helps with that. Keeps it right on the bottom or you can get a piece on pvc and do same

Thank you!

I dont think you are getting the right advice. If you add water to your chem tank mixture your ds injector is further watering down your mix. If you are pulling with a dedicated roof pump, your mix is only as diluted as you mix it.

I use black electrical tape or a zip tie and strap a rock to it to the filter. It works great.

He is getting right advice. Don’t ds straight sh unless needed. My mix is 20 gallons sh, 40 gallons water and a big splash of elemonator

Are you down streaming straight 12.5%?

Not unless needed. I just meant there seemed to be some confusion the difference between downstreaming chemical with an injector vs a roof pump

Test your injector to see what you’re really getting.

That’s what I do also, keeps from having four tanks on the trailer.

@Innocentbystander are you downstreaming with that mix? What’s your ratio on your injector if so? Just curious, by no means questioning your procedure.

Yes. I have no idea what the ratio is.

Good price for this 26 gallon chem tank from Northern Tool

I wish I had a NT near me. Looking at building another WFP set up and just filter water at the shop. This would be perfect, pump mounts on top as well

Shipping only $12
