A little over 8000, maybe 8,500 sq ft.
-2 story
-no gutters
-Heavy delicate foliage…as in orchids hanging from trees and exotic citrus trees
-vinyl awnings , at least 10 of them
Haven’t cleaned one this bad before! Any tips ? and of course, where would you guys be on pricing?! Much appreciated!
You might consider 2 ground guys, with the plants and awnings in mind. Maybe around $4000 with a rinse since there are no gutters? I’d aim for at least double what I’d normally get compared to an asphalt roof with gutters.
Sorry to take so long with the reply…ok, so it took approx 16 man hours (2 people) …Had to use the 32ft ladder and walk the roof since there were difficult places to reach even when on the roof. a lift would’ve been nice but very difficult to move around due to vegetation and tight access. that roof was sketchy. very old and when I was up there saw busted tiles all over. since there are no gutters, there was a ton of runoff due to deep channels and the barrel tile roof. The roof has to be at least 50 years old and had never been cleaned. I kept increasing the ratio of bleach to water until it was around 60/40. Even then I had to spray the bad areas at least ten diff times. it was a little troubling when it wouldn’t touch it the first several times. had a great ground guy that didn’t let anything get fried! I told him to just keep the hose on the entire time and soak it all…there were orchids, an herb garden (we covered), and several delicate plants around entire house. we also did the awnings and windows after the roof. did everything in a little over 2 days with 2 people. I was pleased.
they were canvas / nylon …kept the blue one in front wet with hose…didn’t want to chance it. no trouble since they were white and needed bleached anyway
