Cheapest effective water reclamation

Currently I use a 13 gallon wet vac and sand bags to direct water straight to the vac but looking for a better system that possibly takes less room in the truck. Eventually I’m hoping to get a full system with a surface cleaner/ Vac but until then looking for a better option. I’m in California the reason why I need it. Any help will be appreciated.

Saw this on YouTube

That guy is an uninformed fool. I stopped watching as soon as he started talking about a homeowner grade pressure washer being the top rated pressure washer on Amazon. Never take business advice from fools. There are many of them out in the world and an alarming amount of them here on the forum.

I’ve read that some people use a sump pump. That might be easier than having to empty your shop vac.

Do you have any tips on using sand bags effectively? I have a surface cleaner with reclaim, but then I rinse and a lot of water makes it to the street.

Woops, looks like sump pump is what is shown in the video.

I sand bag on corner of the driveway and sand bag about 10-15 feet down the other side of the drive way to work as a “Holding area” for the water and if I can get my wife’s little brother to help me on a job ill have him suck up the water and dump it in a 55 gallon drum. If its just me I will do half the driveway, suck and dump, then finish the last section. From what I’ve seen as long as they can tell I’m really trying to reclaim all my water they haven’t bothered me.
