Cheap reels

hi new to the forums …been pressure washing around 5 years now …one thing I have the hardest time trying to find are cheap decent reels single and double stacked can anyone recommend any …i don’t care for names just reliability

If you want reliability don’t buy cheap reels. There’s a reason they have a name. No name and reliability don’t belong in the same sentence. Get Hannay or Titan. Order from Sprayer Depot. They have free shipping so ends up being around $250 per reel delivered to your house.

I guess I didnt mean it the way I said it…horrible at explaning things …maybe a better way to say it not loyal to a single brand ? And maybe not cheap but best value?

Rocky Mountain Goods Metal Garden Hose Hanger - Heavy Duty Rust Proof Steel - Easy Wall Mount Hose Hanger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XDKK6TS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_FE.BFb1WR9WEB

Extreme value mount two of these suckers on ur truck. Guy I know in town has been cleaning for 20+ years and still coils his hoses up in these after every job

Shoot if you’re feeling artsy they even sell these Amazon.com

Here’s a link to the Hannay. They also have the stacking kit. You can spend $100 less on a reel but it won’t last near as long. Some have used Cox reels but it’s definitely worth spending a bit more on a good reel.

I have a cox currently, not a big fan but I’m gonna run it till it breaks.

Thanks to linking this. Mill be ordering one this week now. Out of curiosity do you know the fitting I’ll need to make sure this will connect to my water hose which I have a 3/4” size. Thanks

My Titan SS is ok, not fond of the lock. It bends when I just have half of my hose unreeled and clamped.

LOL, only you. How in the heck did you bend a lock? Been using for years and have never bent a lock. You have to unlock if you’re wanting to pull more hose off. :grinning:

Darned if I know. Sometimes a job only calls for 100’ of hose so I unreel it, lock it and clamp the hose to the flange. The backlash when letting off the trigger bends the flimsy bracket the bolt runs through. When pressure builds in the coiled hose it acts like an expanding spring.

Maybe you guys are using K7 unloaders, I’m using standard pressure trapped.

I think even William pointed that out as well. Lately I have just given up and unreeled all 200’.

I recently switched from a pressure unloader to flow and let me tell you. It is awesome! If you have a spare gun laying by you in the house right now with nothing hooked up to it go ahead and pull the trigger. If you don’t have a gun by you hold your hand up and pretend to squeeze the trigger. Instead of the air guitar you’re doing the air gun. That’s what it feels like when you pull it even with high pressure running through it. It’s like it’s not even hooked up to anything. My only regret is not using one sooner. I have the ZK3 ZK1. I think Rick said he has less problems with those compared to the K7. You won’t regret getting one.

Same! My new hydro tek is equipped with a K7 and wow! No more sore elbow at the end of the day after a big house wash…

I’ll have to look into one. Probably requires an unloader block as well, so ~$250 for both.

Not that much. More like around $100-$120 for both.

I thought you got a ZK1?

I think you’re right. ZK1 @dcbrock Not ZK3.

I noticed this one as well, not sure what the differences are.

That’s just a K7 for the 8 gpm units. They go K7.1 K7.2 K7.3 based on gpm model. :ok_hand:
