Okie Dokie… lets talk chainsaws.
I can basically any Stihl saw for 30% off, possible a tad more depending on whats available. My little Stihl 180 i picked up for like $80 has bite the dust and not spending money to fix it. 180 size was perfect for around the house and for trail work for hunting. So saw would get used a few days a year and then as needed for cleanup. Tops id think nothin over 10” will be touched by me, and at that it would already be in the ground.
Dont need big, bad, expensive saw, but i can get a Pro Model saw, 241 for what a homeowner saw cost… i can get a homeowner saw for cheap, some dirt cheap so it wouldnt bother me to throw it away if it breaks.
180- cheap, did what i needed, but lacked guts on anything half big.
211- cheap, has a very good rep forba 30cc class saw, and maybe the most favored Homeowner overall
250/251- not expensive, 250 old and like a tank, little heavier than what i am really thinking
193t- price about same as 250, but small saw, not much power, but too handle could out weigh lack of power
241- most expensive, end up around $360ish, but is a pro model, power and size is right, but has the fancy electronic carb that i really know nothin about but trying to read up on.
Had used 192t (193 not as well made from what i read), 180, 250… any opinions or advice on the other saws?
