Wanted to go ahead and start this thread even though I’m about 3 weeks away from getting anything in to actually start the build. I decided to go ahead and upgrade from my pick up to a trailer. With Covid-19 I really thought I would have to wait, but thankfully business has been steady and god has provided.
I’m going to be putting an 8/3500 on a 12’ tandem with a 12v softwash system. I plan to use the 12v to apply chem and the 8 to rinse and clean concrete. Really excited about this build and can’t wait to get started. I’ll start posting some pics as things come in. Trailer should be ready next Friday then most of the equipment the week after. Works out bc I am going to paint the trailer floor with bed liner, so I’ll be forced to wait the right amount of time for it to cure before I can throw stuff on it.
Anyway enough rambling. Looking forward to getting it done and sharing the progress.
Nice, and good luck. I’m running a 12v in the back of my truck and an 8 gpm in my trailer. They work great together and 90% of homes are able to provide water to run both!
Finally got my first part in. Haha. I am learning that patience is not my strong suit. Spending over 10k then waiting 3-5 weeks for things to come in is hard.
i guess I jumped the gun a little. If you plan on washing houses and other buildings that are built out of brick, hardie board, wood siding, and vinyl, downstreaming with that 8 gpm is the best option. If you need stronger mix you can always use an x-jet or your 12v. I know different people and places require slightly different processes and equiptment.
All good man, this is my upgrade from running a 5.5 out the back of my truck. I’m putting the 12v in mainly for roofs. I may change how I plan to do it, but for what I have settled into as my normal this is what I think is my best option.
