Without the motor running, I can not get any water to go through the pump unless I remove the unloader which I then took apart cleaned and put back, but I got the same result (no water flow whatsoever). Do I need a new unloader or could something else be wrong?
I want water running through it before I start the engine.
This unit has received light duty since I purchased it in 2011.
I can think of no reason why you would want water flowing thru it before you start it.
As far as I know, water is supposed to be on and running through the wand at hose pressure before starting so that the pump does not overheat. If water can’t get into the pumping area (circulate) the pump will burn out in no time.
Nope. It’s not going to overheat in the half second it takes to turn the key.
