Carwash soap as a surfactant?

Why no mention of using carwash soap as a surfactant? Saw this and it says it can be cut 100:1 ratio.

Thought?

I used my x jet to wash my wife’s car with some Car wash soap in it.

Monday morning I forgot all about it… suds suds suds more suds.

Left a nasty film on windows that dried within minutes and had to use steel wool to get off.

Stuff I had used was with the wash and wax in one stuff.

I only use the finest dog wash when I clean houses.

But I have been having trouble upselling people on the cream rinse. I guess some people just don’t appreciate having silky, tangle free siding. :pensive:

It’s like housewax… but better!!!

It left a film on wifes car windows after a few minutes?

Ive had decent luck with Saddle Soap.

The label says:
“High sudsing, pH balanced, super concentrated, (100:1) car wash soap. Excellent foaming action clings to the surface then rinses away with ease. Will not streak or water spot in sunlight. Available in pint, gallon, 5 & 55 gallon sizes. VOC COMPLIANT.”

It claims no streaking… Im testing tomm and will report back. Got a roof to do as well.

Might work. Might work like crazy and revolutionize the industry. Check that out for us and let us know how it goes. I’ll be over here washing houses with house soap.

I have to ask why not just order housewash surfactant? Why try to re-invent the wheel?

I’m having a difficult time determining who is serious and who is joking in this thread lol

Not reinventing the wheel. But why pay $80+ for a 5gal + $25 s/h when I can get same results buying soap locally for $60 for 5gal?

Just looking to experiment and see all my options play out.

I’m serious lol

I think its a great idea, im shocked nobody else has thought to try it… let us know how your Experiment goes

Edit: i was kidding…

Because that $80 5 gallon bucket will last you as much as $80 worth of your experiment stuff. I’m not saying it’s a horrible idea. I’m just wondering why.

The pro stuff online last way longer than the cheap stuff.

No…didn’t rinse bucket, accidentally used on a customers house for 5 minutes

Just a thought, I would guess few on here are chemistry majors. Why not use the soaps that are backed by, invested, investigated, researched and sold by trusted vendors. Boggles my mind that professional contractors use dawn, laundry detergents and what not.

You mean like “Plant Wash?”

I said trusted vendors

Since I’m now using A&H with “oxi-clean” I’m gonna charge more for my premium “oxi-wash” and sell the fact that I’ll leave your home smelling “meadow fresh!” :sunglasses:
