Car Dealerships

Anyone here washing car dealerships?

I would but I think a DI is a must for that service. I just can’t afford to step out there right now

We use to do them, and I may start a crew back into it next year. It’s pretty good money.

How do you charge? I was thinking about doing some too. Do you need a dionizing system?

We clean the buildings and windows of a few dealerships, but not the cars themselves.

In 2006 we were $1.50 per car and could do about 800 a day. I would think around $2.00 per car These days. We used RO water not DI.

What is RO?

[h=1]Reverse Osmosis[/h]

We had one guy upstream the soap mix, and two guys rinsing off. The key, is a good soap mix that does the work, and spot free water.

What’s the difference between RO and DI?

RO is mechanically purified and DI is chemically purified. 0ppm usually requires DI, either alone or as a “polisher” after reverse osmosis.

Great stuff guys! Thanks all-- especially Chris (i.e., CDubbs) who also helped me with an interview and gave me some GREAT stuff (as did Tim Nunez). The new eClean, which will include this topic, should hopefully be up this weekend, provided I still have power and internet access after the dreaded ice storm passes through Arkansas Friday. (If it doesn’t, my kids are going to be DEVASTATED.)
