Cant use SH? Any proven alternatives

Sucks I have to make a washing biz here in CA with the most restrictions. But any enviro solutions being sold by the big power wash supply companies that you know works? Biggest problem here are the orange tile roofs having mold/algae and dirt of course.

Start a different business. Seriously. If you can’t use what you need to, do something else.

Vinegar?

why?.

Cant use SH without proper permits and I am just starting this business up as a side line.

How much are the ‘permits’? What part of Kalifornia?

Sounds even more like there is really no “why” behind this :person_shrugging:

Who’s out in Cali testing puddles in residential yards? I’d mask with a cover scent and carry on.

They probably have 3 puddle testers for every puddle…

Lmao you’re right what was I thinking??? Puddle testing sounds more fruitful than what he’s currently trying to do.

:bulb: good point!

You had a lil box next your avatar then it disappeared after I clicked it. Super weird…is it special? Just a glitch in the Matrix??? The pic is not a screen shot, I drew that on there.

So spend the money to get the proper permits ?

Or

Don’t do any jobs that require SH… such as concrete cleaning, wood cleaning, rust removal, gutter brightening, etc.

Oh you guys don’t even know.

I have a friend originally from Virginia but moved to Kali because his wife’s family is out there. He has been a carpenter for decades and tried to do that for a while, but realized pulling permits is discouraged and building new houses is only for the super- large companies that can afford the government costs.

He opened up his own shop building beautiful furniture out of wine barrels. A few years later he gave up because they were micromanaging everything he did, right down to the sawdust.

He now went to the ‘dark side’ and advises companies of transgressions the government may shut them down for.

When you guys joke about puddles, I really don’t think that’s far from the truth.

When I joke there’s usually an “lol” or emoji involved…

You nailed it. Im gonna have to keep figuring out a way with non-chlorine options that are approved for CA use. Yes CA sucks for all its rules and regulations and taxes, but it is still an awesome place to live if you can deal with the crap.

I think the point was more thinking through the entire process… You have the coming in engine restrictions, the electrical supply issues, the chem restrictions, and (I’ll assume) a massive amount of restrictive oversight…all of these will necessitate higher pricing. With much of it being new regs, potential customers will not be expecting higher pricing (add to that the fact that those who vote in all those regs also seem to think they magically fund themselves, and businessmen are evil & greedy). Finally, there’s a decidedly lower need for washing services in “sunny California”. You’re looking at a massive uphill battle with a new business. A prudent man would probably evaluate the business climate there and find his investment dollars to be more profitably applied in another endeavor.

On the flip side, there will only be like three pressure washing companies left in the whole state of California once it’s all said and done, and he could be one of the three.

Why can’t you use SH out there. I know @Seandz is in CA and uses SH a lot.

It would be helpful to know what part of California.
