Can we talk parking lot symbols? Best approach to not blast off paint

Hey Dudes..So I’ve done several commercial properties which obviously have painted parking lines, symbols, etc on the concrete, and it seems hit or miss on the paint coming up when I run my surface cleaner over it. This is especially relevant for fast food restaurants and drive thru areas.

I generally try to avoid running over any lines or symbols if possible and just going over those areas with lighter pressure with the wand, but that can be tedious on larger projects.

How do you guys approach this?

I was thinking about getting a second, smaller surface cleaner and putting some low pressure nozzles on for going over painted areas of concrete. Something like a 14" that I can also use for curb gutters. I don’t want to be changing 4 nozzles constantly on my Whisper Wash for areas with heavy amounts of striping and symbols.

Thoughts and suggestions?

If paint is good, normally not a problem. Most need to bee repainted every so often anyway. Just don’t linger over it. I do a lot and it’s never really been a problem

@OhioFloMo  I do a bit of painting on projects that need a refresh but only monthly service contracts I don’t think repainting monthly would be an option

@Racer ya I mean I hear ya. Like I said, it’s hit or miss. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with the quality of paint that was used in the first place. Wasn’t sure if there was some old wisdom technique or method that I might be missing. Always good to ask around.
