Can’t draw soap

Can’t get the injector to draw either out the top of this tank or out the bottom. It will draw out of a regular bucket though…
any suggestions. Thanks

Is it vented?

Yea
I even took the lid off.

Thinking the brand new injector not working right

if it wasn’t working, wouldn’t draw out of a bucket.

Think I had a little vacuum leak from the chem tank and from what I read a 3-5 gpm Ds injector pulls better for a 8gpm machine. Just switched over from 5.5gpm and I was using a 5-8gpm injector it pulls but not like I want.

Btw I have a hydrotek 5.5 gpm hot water skid available for sale if anyone is interested. Just pm me

My injector quit working or so I thought. I put on a brand new GP hi-flow injector with the flow going in the same direction as it should. Then that one did not work either. I called Chris @SchertzServicesLLC to see maybe if the remote control box had anything to do with it and he advised that I use a compressor to blow out the lines from where the injector connects to both the water side and the chem side. When I did that I noticed it took a second for the air to make it through the soap side, clearing a clog, while the water side went thru immediately. I thought this fixed the problem but the brand new injector still didn’t work. I also tried completely taking off the gun and just pulling soap straight out the hose end and still no avail. I determined the only thing to do was to go back to the other downstream injector to see if brand new one didn’t work right out the gate and sure enough that was the problem ( after fixing the initial problem by clearing the line out!) I like to use the injectors that are rated for 5 to 8 gallons per minute machines because I feel like smaller ones reduce the rinsing power even with water being injected when not drawing soap. It looks like the OP had an injector not work right out of the box as well. Is this common? The one I have been using is from Envirospec and it is their overpriced stainless steel version of GPs hi-draw. It pulls about 18-1. I know that gp hi-draw is the most liked one here the community and due to its fair price I would like to stick with it moving forward. But is it possible that the reason it did not work is because it is the 5 to 8 GPM when I should be using a 3 to 5 GPM with this brand? Does anybody else use the GP hi-draw 5 to 8 gpm injector successfully with 220 feet of hose on an 8 gallon per minute machine?

I use a gp 3-5. Simply because I had a ton when I switched to an 8gpm. With 250 feet of hose they work perfectly. I haven’t ever tried a 5-8, because why fix something that isn’t broken?

I tried a 5-8 on my 8gpm, didn’t draw much.

I get 18-1 with this injector. The 3-5 gpm version. I run a 8.5 GPM with 250 ft of 3-8 hose.

How many feet of hose? I had an injector not pull soap once when I was on a 3rd story deck. When I was on the ground it worked fine. When they get finicky it seems like they don’t last long after that. I also hear a lot of guys get bad ones out of the box.

220 feet of hose. I have a few different injectors 2 of them very expensive ones. One is the stainless steel supersud sucker from Envirospec and the other one was one that was like $140 from powerwash.com it was supposed to be like 5 to 1. They sent me an upgraded 3/8” line to connect to it after I told them it wasn’t any better than the sud sucker but I have not tried that yet as I am using the schertz box and run 1/4” line for everything else. Both supersud sucker and the super expensive one from Powerwash.com had the same 18 to 1 ratio. I think what happened is I got a bad unit right out the box. I was also on the ground not up high.

I have my injector drawing through the schertz box as well. About 10 ft worth of 1/4 hose. Then it runs through the bypass and then through 250 ft of hose… might just be a bad injector.
