Call on all Austin, Texas Power Washers

Guys/Gals,

I am in the process of becoming a direct distributor of SH for HASA chemicals. I will be purchasing in bulk and reselling in 5 gal, 15 gal and 55 gal quantities at a very good price. We do not have this in the area currently (well we do have some sellers, but prices are not great from what I have seen and those who I have talked to). If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail me at mswindle@rarsg.com.

I am still 30-45 days out from first delivery as I am setting up the shop, systems and finalizing the deal with HASA over the next 2-3 weeks. Your input is very much needed to help determine inventory levels to supply those interested.

I am also looking into the feasibility of carrying other chemicals at the local level to help us all save money by my company purchasing in bulk at discounted prices and shipping, allow you to get the same products a bit cheaper and improve your profit. More on this to come.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Do you guys not have pool stores over there. What do the pool guys use ? Every store in FL and GA that I’ve seen has a 1800 gallon tank behind it .

Yes we do, but they only carry in 4/1 gal cases for around $18-$20/case. That is roughly $4.50-$5.00 gal.
I have searched out several chemical suppliers and the most outrageous was $50 for a 5/gal of SH.

We do not have any good pressure washer supply houses. The Landa dealer really is a side gig for their car wash business. Went to get surface cleaner nozzles and they didn’t even have the right sizes and only chems they had are for car washes.
Hotsy dealer is just as bad - no chems, no selection of parts, etc.

I am looking to fill this need in what is growing into a major market down here. We currently have over 2.5 mil residents and growing by leaps and bounds daily.

I would be lost not having suppliers every few miles.
Why not gat a hasmat endorsement and pick it up yourself from the manufacturer. You probably have one within a few hundred miles. Usually less than .75c a gallon at the manufacturer. Most will deliver a few hundred miles if your filling a 1800 gallon tank

How about Dow Chemical. Aren’t they huge in texas? My brother in law works for them in lake jackson, but I though they basicly owned half of the state.

We have the same problem in ohio. I think that only works in flordia! Some guys here drive 2 hours to save 40 bucks on 55 gallons. I’m around 2.50 -3 bucks a gallon but I buy alot to get that price.

I really can not explain it.

When I first starting coming to the forum and hearing about $2/gal SH, I was like “Whoah, where they getting that?” I searched and searched and could not find a source. I finally ran into HASA who on a small scale is good, but on a volume scale, I think I can provide a great price and service to the area fellow washers. This truly will be a win-win if enough of the local guys participate.

Locally - Home Depot - $3.00/gal for what they claim to be 10%. Is was made 5 months ago so really what - 7-8% if we are lucky?
Pool Supply - $4.87/gal - my last case bought last week was made 3 months ago so instead of 12.5 maybe 9% if a I am lucky…
What I am offering is weekly fresh SH which the manufacture states ships at 15% but marketed at 12.5%. Well worth the price, especially when you consider dilution into water for your house mix.
I really don’t mean to sound so salesy here, but just wanting to give others and myself a better deal to get the jobs done.

I just paid $4.50 / Gal at a pool supply store and it was only 10%. More than likely it was from last season so its maybe 7%. Any leads to a good supplier for SH in the East Central Illinois area would be appreciated. I’m just starting out so I won’t be using large volumes. I may just have to deal with it for now.

I stopped using the pool supply about a month ago when I noticed the SH wasn’t as strong anymore. You can check the date code on the side of the case (search google for the specific vendor date code explanation). My shop was selling product from last August still. I found getting 10% from Home Depot that was made in January was working better, just gotta deal with competitor going in a buying it all up :grinning:

Try Hawkins Chemical. I’ve been talking to them getting ready for spring here in Indiana. $3.25/gal for a 55 gal drum, $4.00/gal for 5’s and 15’s. Cheaper if you have a bulk tank. Prices are with delivery.https://www.hawkinsinc.com/our-locations/

I’ll be getting mine at $1.07/gal - granted like @florida_condo_cleani it’s Florida and they are on just about every corner.

Thanks @MikesHM I just found one of their locations about 45 minutes north of me.

No problem. It’s still kind of high as far as cost but being an actual chemical company the freshness factor is what sold me.

I pay $4 a gallon from Brenntag. I have to pick it up for that price so I have to buy it in 15gl drums. :pensive:

Mine through Brenntag comes up to $3.50 a gallon after all their added up stuff. Once I start buying more it won’t be so bad. I think it starts at $2.70 but they have a per invoice fee and something else they tack on. I am currently buying 55 at a time and have to pick up. You guys are not alone.

You’re in southern Michigan, aren’t you? I’m in north-central Indiana, just curious as to who you’re using. I’m in the South Bend area once a month.

Cheapest I found was Hawkins in WI around $3.5

I used to live in Naples for many years. I wasn’t Pressure washing then but there were several Pinch a Penny locations around us and for the pool we could fill a 2.5 gallon jug for about 4 bucks. Yes they all had big bulk tanks out back. Collier county had about 60,000 pools.
