Cabelas/Bass Pro and the two best shoe companies in America

Ready to learn something new?

Bass Pro accepts Cabelas gift cards and vise versa.

Keen and Merrell are the best two shoe companies you can give your money to.

We can argue about that, but no more politics. Lol

I still struggle seeing Cabelas stuff inside the local Bass Pro being that i was born and raised with the best Bass Pro store just a few minutes away. It is nice however that I get just as many points on credit card at Cabelas.

Thumbs up on Keen. I wear a steel tow Keen every day for work. Most comfortable shoes I own.

Just kidding. Merrels are nice. My wife is a nurse and on her feet all day and loves Merrels

I like Merrell’s but Keen has become my go to. I have planter fasciitis in both feet and Keen’s takes orthotics better than any shoe/boot I’ve tried for working.

I definitely prefer Keens but these were splitting on one side after tons of abuse and I really liked these Merrells on clearance.

I usually only get mids too, so today was me breaking out of my shoe comfort zone lol. But these low Merrells did it for me. I’ve owned tons of both and prefer Keens, but don’t have anything bad to say about Merrells

Edit-steel TOE

I wore Merrills for a few years, finally realized I needed a wide version as the heel cup was super narrow. Too late though, caused my plantar fasciitis. I’m still trying to recover but not totally gone.

I may try Keen next. Living on extension ladders is tough on feet.

Merrills are absolutely the best hands down. I wont hike in anything else the support and comfort is the best on the market.

I have had Merrell boots and tennis shoes, no complaints… i have 1 pair of Keens leather boots i got on sale for $30s at Dicks. They are a 1/2 to small and im still trying to remember to break them in… they need to loosen up a bit before i where them for any long periods.

They are the same company now.
